Welcome to Sketch Motion("we," "our," or "us"). Your privacy is fundamental to our design. This Privacy Policy details our data practices, local processing architecture, and compliance with Google Play Store policies.
100% On-Device Processing
Your videos, photos, and converted sketches are processed locally on your hardware using native tools (such as FFmpeg). No media is ever uploaded to any cloud server or accessed by us.
Zero Account Requirement
You do not need to register, create a profile, or submit an email, name, or phone number to utilize Sketch Motion. The application works completely without personal account registration.
Photos, Videos & Media Handling
Sketch Motion is designed to transform everyday videos and photos into stylized sketches, pencil drawings, and line art animations.
Local Computation: All filtering, line extraction, frame splitting, rendering, and encoding take place exclusively on your physical mobile device. We do not operate media processing servers, and your media files never leave your device.
No Remote Storage or Human Review:We have no access to your gallery, the source videos you import, or the resulting animation renders. Your creative outputs are stored directly in your device's local storage or photo gallery.
Android Permissions Utilized
To provide core video and animation conversion capabilities, Sketch Motion requests access to specific device features:
•Photos & Media Access (Read & Write)
Requested via Android Photo Picker / MediaStore APIs to allow you to select videos and images for transformation and to save your exported sketch animations directly to your gallery.
•Foreground Service & Notifications
Video rendering can be computationally heavy. A foreground service is used so rendering jobs can complete reliably even if you switch apps, and a local notification is posted when your video export completes.
•Network Access (Internet & Network State)
Required solely by third-party advertising SDKs (Google AdMob) to serve ads and check network connectivity. Sketch Motion itself does not transmit personal media over the network.
Third-Party Advertising & Analytics
To offer Sketch Motion for free, we partner with third-party advertising providers:
Google Mobile Ads (Google AdMob): Provided by Google LLC. AdMob may automatically collect and process certain device and usage metrics to deliver and personalize advertisements. This may include:
- Google Advertising ID (GAID): Used for ad attribution and personalized ad delivery.
- Approximate Location (Coarse): Derived from IP address for geo-relevant ads.
- App Performance & Crash Diagnostics: Ad loading speed, crash reports, and system telemetry.
- User Interaction Data: Ad views, clicks, and impressions.

Security & Children's Privacy
Data Security: Because all video rendering happens strictly inside the Android application sandbox on your local hardware, your personal media is inherently protected from unauthorized remote access. Any network communications by third-party SDKs adhere to industry-standard TLS encryption.
Children's Privacy: Sketch Motion does not target or knowingly collect any personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe an underage user has provided personal data through a third-party integration, please contact us for prompt resolution.
